Ingredients
- 1 can of tuna with chunks (5 oz / 140g)drained
- 1 tablespoon of Sriracha(use any type of hot sauce. adjust as you need)
- 1 medium-sized chopped red onion
- 1 red chilli or green chilli chopped
- 1/2 a teaspoon of dijon mustard
- 1/2 a teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 a teaspoon of black pepper
- Salt to season
- 4 slices of white bread or bread of your choice
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 4 leaves of lettuce. washed, drained and pat dried
- 4 slices of tomato deseeded
- Optional ingredients you can substitute or add.
- Avocado slices
- Cucumber slices
- Cheese slices.
Instructions
- Prep all the base ingredients.
- In a medium-sized bowl, add the drained tuna chunks. add the sriracha sauce, dijon mustard, chopped onions, garlic powder, chillies, pepper and salt.
- Combine well and set aside.
- Place the slices of bread over a flat surface. lightly butter one side of the bread.
- you can toast the bread at this stage before layering it with the spread.
- Place the dried lettuce leaf on a slice of bread. add a layer of the prepared spicy tuna mixture.

- Add slices of tomato on top, and cover with the other slice of bread.
